Have you ever been given something for free, that you then sold for money?
Its a good feeling. Now what about if you can do that over and over again?
This is what I have been doing for some time in terms of site flipping. It gets to the point where you know exactly what you can buy and what price you can buy it at and still sell it for a big profit.
A lot of people aren’t exactly sure what site flipping is all about or exactly how it works. It is a pretty simple method really, there are obviously tips, tricks, shortcuts and secrets to get the most out of each and ever site and that comes with experience.
I have had a lot of emails since I released Project Site Flip almost a year ago about how to get started flipping sites, so to stop answering these emails individually (which I don’t actually mind, it just takes up a lot of time), I have put together 5 free sites that you can get your hands on.
The sites are all niches sites.
They all come with full resale rights.
The sites are all easy to set up.
All you need is a domain and some hosting.
To get the sites just enter your name and email in the top right box on the blog and presto, you will be send an email with the URL of where to get the sites and some additional info on how to get all this start.
Have fun and let me know if you have any questions,
Steve
You’ve definately heard of Twitter right?
OK. I’ve been meaning to have a real look at Twitter for some time now but I’ve been busy with one thing or another and found myself not really paying attention to its real power, especially for someone with a little marketing know how.
I started off just setting up an account and that got left for a week or so with just a few tweets. Anyway, I’m starting to get a grip on myself and get a little more focussed in my minimal time I actually spend working. I’m not even letting the British Summer hook me in (even though I know how short they can be).
I thought to myself the other day, shall I go out on the Jet Ski or….
I had to stop myself and refocus, I decided, now is the time for me to get going on the whole Twitter phenonenom.
Over the last week I have been messing around sending Tweets and adding followers to my profile. I think I have added about 600 in the last 6 days more by coincidence than know how. Anyway, I messed around with a few tactics and noticed I got a spike in traffic to my blog when I posted the IM Tip #1 post. When I checked out where the traffic had come from I was quite amazed to learn that 200+ visits had come from Twitter alone.
I spend a few hours lining up a promotion purely for Twitter and after sending out a tweet on Tuesday I had to pop out. I came back that evening totally forgetting what I had done. But after checking my email I had 7 email notifications for sales. I had no idea where they had come from as it wasn’t for anything I had lined up. Honestly - it took me another hour to realise that they had come from my tweet - $113 from one tweet.
I may have had my doubts about whether this would work or not but I am now going to make Twitter one of my main marketing tools. There is a product that I can recommend to you that explains all the steps I took to achieve this goal and a whole lot more but it has not been released just yet. So that will have to come later.
Happy tweeting.
I’ve decided to start up a series looking into different skills and shortcuts people can take when starting out online. Some of these I knew when I first started but a lot of them are ones that I have picke dup over the last 2 years. These are things that would have made my life so much easier right from the off. So here we go…
If you are trying to making a living online, learn HTML.
If you are a new marketer then this is now key, it will also save you a few $$ along the way. I’m not talking about learning how to (and spending hours) create your own fully functioning websites. Far from it, take the situation I found myself in just an hour ago….
I’ve arrange for a good friend to email out to their list about Website Profit Formula, to give a little incentive I decided to place the pre-launch sneak peek inside the members area video on the main site. (This isn’t the point I wanted to make but strengthens my arguement) I had to locate the section of code on one page and copy and paste it to an open section on the main page (which took a little HTML knowledge)…
..anyway, this screw the alignment up pretty bad. I had white gaps between suposedly seamless images and text that ran from left to right through whatever it came across. The site was a mess. Now I could have done what I normally do when it comes to coding problems:
1) Mail the guy who created the site for me and ask him to take a look.
2) Jump on a forum and find a guy who could sort this for me.
Both might have cost a few $$, but neither were a suitable solution. I had someone mailing out for me and the first impression of my site counted. I couldn’t wait for an email response or to interact with someone on a forum.
So I jumped in and opened up dreamweaver in code view. It wasn’t long before I figured out the problem and had a readable site once again.
This only took me a few minutes (ok maybe 10 including the upload and test) to sort out and also saved me the hassel of finding someone, explaining the problem and then having to pay them of course.
Now I am no expert. I will never create my own sites and there will no doubt be solutions worse than this that I cannot fix on my own. But there will also be hundreds of little bits and bobs I can do and save time on by knowing some basic HTML.
I suggest if you are wanting to make a go of it online, you do the same. (It is how this whole Web thing works anyway, so), a little more understanding can go a long way. Especially for us marketers.
If you are interested in learnign some HTML then there is no need for it to cost anything at all. You will all have a text editor like notepad (Accessories folder in Windows), and head over to the site HTMLDog. The tutorials on this site are easy to follow and work through. The sites clean feel also means you are not trying to work out what you should be reading. You will also be able to find lots of other free tutorials on the net.
A good test once you are feeling confient is to open up the source code of a favourite page (View Option and then View Source in your browser) and see if you can make sense of all the code on the site.
Stay tuned for more IM tips, coming soon…..
I guess this is hello and welcome to my blog. Its been a long time coming and as you can see there are still some parts that need finishing off. Just like to say thanks to WP Geek for the theme, hope everyone else like it as much as I do.
Feel free to leave some comments on the theme below -
I still have a few plans for the site but I will not put them out there just yet in case it takes me as long to get them out there as it did this blog.
